My Story

My story.

I'm Quan Tran (A.K.A Akio Ckist) - a software engineering student who enjoys turning ideas into real, working things through code and visual storytelling. I've always been curious about how systems operate behind the scenes — how different parts connect, how logic flows, and how a simple idea can slowly grow into something meaningful through time and effort. This space is where I share what I build with the thinking process and challenges behind each step.

"Talent grows quietly, but ambition never sleeps."

I tend to care more about long-term growth than instant results. Becoming better at something, to me, is less about sudden breakthroughs and more about discipline, patience, and consistency — showing up even on days when motivation is low. That mindset influences how I approach both my technical work in software engineering and my creative interests outside of it.

Beyond coding, I’m particularly drawn to filmmaking, photography, and visual post-production. I enjoy capturing moments and shaping raw footage or images into something that tells a story or conveys a feeling — whether it’s through pacing, composition, color, or subtle details that might otherwise go unnoticed. It’s another way for me to express ideas that are difficult to explain through words alone.

Balancing studying and personal projects can be challenging at times, but creating is something I always make space for. Some nights are spent building features, debugging systems, or experimenting with new technologies; others are dedicated to shooting, editing, and learning how to refine my visual style step by step.

I believe meaningful progress takes time, and that real skill is built through consistency rather than shortcuts. This site is where I document that journey — what I learn, what I create, and how I continue to grow along the way.
